We are also in the process of developing a family vision/mission statement. Having a vision means having a purpose for the gifts that God has put in our hearts. I'm excited for what God holds for our future.

I like this Proverb a lot.

I have been asking God to help me discern what the Thomas family vision is...Not much comes to mind. Someone the other day asked me what my 10 year outlook looks like?

I couldn’t answer the question at all just sat there stammering and stuttering not really saying anything competent at all. I struggle with this approach to a vision for some reason. I have been pondering it more though and I do think that God is bringing some interesting things to light.

As far as the Multicultural side of my church...you got me on that one my brother :) I think that God is pressing on my heart as a person that leads people not necessarily in music style of worship but in other ways such as prayer and team leading/development. It is OK to draw them out of their comfort zone. To have different styles of prayer, one of my favorite ways of prayer is a corporate prayer aka Korean prayer. I also love to ask if the different from English speakers would be willing to pray in the other languages that they know. We have a few Hmong in our group and a few Spanish speakers its fun to ask. (I lead a prayer ministry) Sometimes they oblige :). Now in the future 5 to 10 years from now my leadership style may change. How, I’m just not to sure, I leave that up to the Father of Heaven to decide how He wants to use my wife and I.

Learning ever more
