@peterkihyunpark
Thanks for clicking the URL in my Twitter profile – let me give you a little background on who I am and what I do.
My name is Peter Kihyun Park and I’m a multicultural worship leader. I’m the founder of Redemption Boulevard A Multicultural Worship Ministry and @peterkihyunpark twitter account.
You can read more about my story on the Founder page, but I’ll give you a brief history now.
I’m 30 years old Korean American. I’ve been married for 8 years to my wife, Johanna, and we have two wonderful boys together.
I caught the vision for multicultural worship in 2005. And since that time I’ve been on the pursuit to share that vision, through Scripture, to believers from as tribe, nation, and tongue God would allow me to serve.
What’s this blog about?
The mission statement of this blog is: Awakening to a Biblical understanding of worshiping as a multicultural Church family. In all my years of being involved with multicultural worship ministry it seems that a strong biblical foundation was missing. For many of us, including myself, our identity has primarily been in music, guitar, voice, etc.
But without a proper biblical understanding of God’s heart how can we worship Him “effectively“? And why is our identity in Christ most important?
My hope is that through this blog you’ll grow in various aspects of your identity in Christ to minister more effectively and to give God all the glory:
1. Biblical Foundation
2. Spreading the vision to Your team
3. Importance of working with and communicating with your pastor
4. Ideas for different ways to express worship
5. Developing relationships with people of different backgrounds, social status, ethnicities.
