Just give it a Try…People like that
It seems in my experience that when you take a little time to get to know someone else’s culture they really like that a lot. Learning a simple phrase like “hello” or “thank you” can make a big difference don’t you think? If someone came up to you in the street and was struggling just to put a few English words together to get help you would help them, right? But if someone came to you just speaking their native language what do you then? To be honest, I think I have blown off people in the past. And other times I’ve seen people talk louder and slower? How rude is that? I want to encourage you to learn a few simple phrases in a different language? Where do you begin? Look around your neighborhood and make a new friend.
